Mónica I. Feliú-Mójer
is a bilingual science communicator who draws on her PhD in neurobiology, her roots in a rural working-class community in Puerto Rico, and her deep commitment to justice to engaged marginalized and overlooked audiences with science. For over 19 years, she has worked at the intersection of multimedia storytelling, community engagement, and inclusive science communication—always with the conviction that science should be in service of everyone, not just those who traditionally have access to it. Her work spans filmmaking, media relations, and diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives, all grounded in the understanding that science communication is most powerful when it honors people's lived experiences and cultural knowledge.
